The United America Pageant 
will be held JUNE 22-25 
at the Wyndham Garden Inn in Austin, Texas.



Age Divisions

Teen 14-18

Miss 19-25, never married

Ms. 23 and up, single, widowed, divorced

Mrs. 21 and up, married

Woman, 26 and up, size 14 or greater, any marital status

Lady 35 and up, any marital status

Classic 45 and up, any marital status

State Titles

NEW This year!
We will no longer automatically assign temporary state titles when your title is already taken. You may choose an alternate that is a state nickname, a regional area OR select a different state. (Examples, Mrs. Lone Star State, Miss Great Lakes Area, etc.)

Optional State Crown and Banner Package

After your deposit is paid in full, you may order a crown and banner package for $100 and begin making appearances. 

We celebrate women of all ages, all sizes, and all walks of life!

Competition Categories/Point System

Each area of competition as well as wardrobe requirements are described in further detail below.

Onstage Introduction – 10% NEW this year!

Onstage Introduction

Onstage introductions will take place immediately after the opening number (in your opening number dress.) Contestant should prepare an introduction of 30 seconds to one minute. Introduction should include your name and title – the rest is up to you. Introduction will be judged on speaking clarity, enthusiasm, originality, and the content of your introduction.

Panel Interview

This will be a 5-minute interview with our judging panel. You will be standing for the interview. You have the option to begin the interview with an introduction of up to 30 seconds. The following criteria will be considered in your interview score.

  • Appearance – Is your appearance reflective of a potential United America Queen? (Also, see wardrobe requirements below.)
  • Enthusiasm/Eye Contact – How do you interact with the judges?
  • Anticipated Commitment Level – How committed are you to representing the United America Pageant in your community for the following year? Some factors that influence this are your commitment level to your school, work, community service or other interests, as demonstrated on the submitted bio and in your answers.
  • Quality and content of your submitted Judges’ Bio.

Important Note: 10 points will be deducted from your Interview score if your Judges Bio is not received by the deadline.

Fashion Wear

Modeling an outfit of your choice. (See wardrobe requirements below.) The following criteria may be considered:

Originality or fashion forward quality  of the outfit

Modeling ability

Onstage presence/personality

Evening Gown

On-Stage Competition

Opening Number – Black, white or silver cocktail dress

Fashion Wear – Oufit of your choice. Choose something that shows your personality and style. Props/themed outfits are encouraged.

Evening Gown – Floor length evening gown of your choice.

Dress, suit or pantsuit of your choice.

Activities

Meet and Greet/Reception – Cocktail dress

Riverboat Outing – Casual. Please dress comfortably for this outing. We will be taking pictures, but there will be other opportunities to be photographed in your more elegant attire.

Photo Sessions – In addition to the scheduled activities, we will have ad hoc photo sessions throughout the day on Saturday as well as additional photos after the awards banquet. Please bring any outfits you wish to wear for photos.

Awards Banquet – Dressy casual, pictures will be taken!

Queens Portrait Session – You will be photographed in your new crown and banner in the outfit of your choice. Please also bring a white, pink or silver cocktail dress or dressy outfit as we will be taking a themed Christmas photo!

Pageant Weekend Schedule

Entry Fee Information

$700 ($400 Non-refundable deposit required within 2 weeks of entry or see our Deposit Options section)

Pageant entry fee includes all pageant weekend events and transportation and most meals. All contestants will also receive a discounted rate at the host hotel, one black and white half-page ad in the program book, and a contestant gift bag.

Multiple age divisions or both pageants

Contestants 5’6” and under in height may ALSO enter the Petite United America Pageant. Total entry fee for both pageants is $975

Note: Contestants who enter both pageants will compete ONE time, but will be judged concurrently by two different sets of judges.

Contestants who are eligible by age and marital status may enter TWO divisions in the United America Pageant. Entry fee for TWO divisions is $825

Previous Contestant Discount

Returning Contestants from the previous year receive a discount

            1st Runner up, United America Pageant $200 Discount

            All other returning United America Pageant contestants, $150 Discount

            1st Runner up, Petite United America, $150 Discount

`           All other returning Petite United America contestants, $100 Discount

Optional Competitions

Photogenic –  One picture $20 – Picture may be submitted at pageant registration

Talent – Limit 3 minutes. $25 Entry fee.

Best in Fashion - $5.00 Highest score in Fashion Wear

Best Evening Gown - $5.00 Highest score in Evening Gown

Top Model - $5.00 Entry Fee Highest combined score in Fashion Wear and Evening Gown

Ad Sales Contest

This contest can have multiple winners. All contestants are eligible.

Sell a minimum $520 in ads ( 3 full page black/white ads) and choose ONE of the following prizes.

Sell a minimum of $765 (3 full color page ads) and choose TWO prizes.

Miss Congeniality, Pageantry Spirit Award, Directors Award,

People’s Choice (based on voting contributions turned in at the pageant, $1 per vote)

People’s Choice Award will be presented at the pageant. All other optional awards/prizes will be presented at the Awards Breakfast. 

Note: First Runner Up will only be awarded in divisions with five or more contestants.

ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1 - Read all of the information on this page, the rules and regulations of the pageant,  and the contestants contract (available online soon!)
 
STEP 2 - Complete the online entry form or print and mail your entry information.

Submission of an application constitutes agreement to all rules, regulations and contractual obligations.
    
Mailed entries must be accompanied by a full deposit,  as specified in the Entry Fee Information above as well as a contestant photo OR choose our deposit payment option.
    
STEP 3 - Submit a deposit

Contestants who complete the online application must submit a full deposit as specified in the Entry Fee information above and a contestant photo within 2 weeks of the application date OR choose our Deposit Payment Option.

STEP 4 - Submit a photo

We must receive a photo with your entry package. If you want to substitute a better picture later, you will be allowed one substitution between the time you enter and the pageant deadline.
This photo will appear on our website delegates page, for People’s Choice voting, and other promotional materials for the pageant.

Photos submitted should be of good quality at a size of 4x6 or larger and file size should not exceed 1.5 MB.
Deposit Payment Options

DISCOUNT OPTION - Pay Deposit in Full by February 1st to receive $100 off your remaining entry fee. You’ll also be eligible for the Walk of Fame opportunities below!

Walk of Fame Deposit Payment Option

Pay $200 immediately with your online or mail in application and your state title will be pre-reserved and announced on our website with a Walk of Fame Star.

Pay your full deposit any time within the next 6 weeks and have your name added to your star.

Complete the deposit and become a State Queen. Your name and title will be added to our State Queens Page on our Queens’s Site! If you also opt to purchase a State Crown and Banner package, you can post your appearances to our Queens’ Site!

Contestant Paperwork

All required paperwork will be made available online and may be submitted as soon as your entry fee has been paid in full or as soon as the form is available. Deadlines for each item will also be posted on a Contestants-Only page(coming soon!)
